Our vision is to live as Jesus’ ambassadors at Duke University, specifically to bless the more than 5000 international students who have come here to study and do research. We are trusting the Lord to help us do three things. First, to love all we meet (whether skeptics or seekers), trusting God to open doors so that we can share about the hope we have in Christ. Second, we want to build up and strengthen those who are Jesus’ followers. Finally, we want to send Jesus’ followers out to live as His ambassadors wherever they go. Ultimately, we are actively pursuing Jesus’ final words to His disciples, “Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I’ll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20, from The Message version of the Bible).
