We are Maarten and Miranda Gast. We’re from The Netherlands and we hope and plan to move to the UK in Summer 2022.
Maarten will lead the UK student ministry, after leading at a local and national level in The Netherlands and at an international level in Europe. Miranda will serve Agapé UK with her talents and gifts too, but will have more conversations on what contribution she can make to Agapé.
We are privileged to serve future world-changers on universities in the UK and invest in their lives and the future of this beautiful country. This generation needs the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
In 2007 we spent a year in Bristol as a young married couple to learn more about student ministry, so we could help set up Agapé student ministry in The Netherlands. After moving back we have helped set up student ministry and have been leading for 14 years in and from The Netherlands. Now God is leading us us back once again to the UK. This time to serve as leaders, reaching the new generation of students and serving churches in the UK with a heart for students.
Over the last 14 years God has blessed us with three wonderful children, Elin (9), Joas (5) and Live (1). They will join us on this adventure to live and serve in the UK. We’re planning to live in Birmingham, near the Agapé office and centrally located to the various teams Agapé StudentLife has throughout the UK.

Each Agapé staff member relies on the regular giving of a team of ministry partners to cover their salaries and ministry expenses, rather than being paid centrally.
