Morocco

On Friday 8th September, a 6.8 magnitude quake hit Morocco, the epicentre 45 miles south of Marrakech, devastating the lives of people living in these mountainous villages, killing more than 2,900 and affecting more than 300,000.

Many of the houses in these remote mountain villages were built from mud bricks, which crumbled under this quake.

The province of Al-Haouz, 40 miles from Marrakech, was almost destroyed. Authorities recorded more than 1,300 deaths in the province. Some families have lost more than 10 family members, their pain at this crippling time is unimaginable.

GAiN stands with Morocco in this time of crisis, and we are working to bring aid to the families affected by the quake. Financial giving at this time allows the appropriate aid to be purchased and directed to areas of most need, ensuring a fast and effective response.

Would you partner with us to help those affected by the quake in Morocco?

Together we can reveal hope and restore life.
