We are Austin & Zchat Okomohwo. It has been our privilege to serve the Lord as a missionaries with Agapé in Africa (known as Great Commisiion Movement – GCMN – in our native Nigeria) for more than 30 years very exciting year.
Austin Came to Christ in October 1985 while studying at the University of Lagos. He sensed the Lord’s leading to mission work in 1989. He joined GCMN (Agapé in Nigeria) as a fulltime missionary staff in 1990. He wasprivileged to serve in the mostly Muslim northern Nigeria for 9 years as Director of ministries for Kaduna state. It has been my privilege also to serve as director of Agapé student ministries for Africa Central Asia and the Middle East.
Zchat came to Christ in 1983. Her growth in faith was accelerated b y the discipleship experience with the student ministry of GCMN (Agapé). Zchat learned to share my faith regularly and disciple other students, leading to several generations of disciples through her ministry while in school. She began to sense the Lord’s leading to full time service as a missionary and chose to join Campus Crusade after I completed my studies.
We got married in 2004 and we are blessed with 5 children. Presently we are privileged to Serve on the Africa Leadership Team helping give leadership to Campus Crusade for Christ (Agapé ministries in the nations of West Africa.
Our driving desire is that every person on the continent have the opportuity to choose God’s grace as revealed in the gospel of Christ and worship Him through living Spirit transformed lives that will lead to great change for the continent and the world. We desire to see Africans significantly contribute in helping to fulfill the great commission in this generation.
